Most stacks can be rebuilt by use and the brick layer that we use is both HETAS and Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps registered as well as being a time served brick layer so you can be sure of the highest standards of work. This work needs to be priced on an individual basis and time scales may vary.

Most multi fuel and wood burning stoves work more efficiently and have a greater degree of control when connected to a liner than when connected to the existing brick built unlined chimney.

flex liner installationAt .1st Peak Chimney Services we also offer as a service, the supply and fitting of twin wall flexible flue liners into your chimney and the connecting of your stove as part of this lining system.
The only Linings that we use are supplied by reputable manufactures and all reach or surpass the current European standard for their application.
We can fit both 316 and 904 grade liners in sizes from 125mm(5”) through 150mm(6”) 175mm(7”) and 200mm(8”). Special sizes can also be priced and quoted for on an individual basis. The 316 grade of liner has an expected life span of 10 years but may last longer if regularly swept, serviced and the customer burns good quality logs. The 904 grade of liner has an expected life span of 20 years and also has a greater resistance to solid fuel soot which is more corrosive than wood and bituminous coal. It is important to have your chimney swept regularly to extend the liner life and maintain the guarantee.
flex liner installationWe can also fit single wall flexible flue liners for gas fires but these will need to have the fire connected to the liner and connected to the gas supply by a Gas Safe engineer

Almost any chimney can be lined with this system from the small to the very large, the tall to the very short. It can be used in houses to hotels.

The system coats the inner surfaces of the flue so does not restrict the overall size by more than a few milimeters. The system can be used on brick or clay flues and is idea for repairing cast in situ flues that have failed due to poor workmanship or chimney fire.
This system also now comes with a 25 year guarantee a substantial increase from the old 10 year guarantee. This has been made possible by the on going monitoring of this product in the UK and European market place since its introduction.

These types of system come in a wide range of sizes from 100mm(4”) for BIOMASS systems only and 125mm(5”)150mm(6”) 175mm(7”) and 200mm(8”). Twinwall chimney systems come as standard in a stainless steel finish but have the facilities to have the system powder coated to help blend in with its surroundings.
